PageRank assigned

So my two sites that I started up at approximately the same time (indexed by Google on September 26th, 2006) were both assigned a PageRank (PR) today approximately four months after being indexed. I always check it and last night I didn’t have any PR on either site and today, this one (utahsysadmin.com) was assigned a PR of 2/10 and the utahlinux.com site was assigned a 1/10. Both were listed on the same page of another PageRanked site, and utahsysadmin.com was also linked to from brandonchecketts.com, a friend of mine, who currently has a PR of 4/10. A third site, which I purchased and setup several weeks later (October 2, 2006) and not indexed for some time after that was also assigned a PR of 1/10 and was listed on the same main site. So judging from that, it appears that Google just adjusted PR based off of the one page on my main website. As expected, based off of the Google PageRank formula, the PR is spread out among all the links found on that page, so since I added more links to the one link page, the other websites that I had listed on there previously and had PRs of 2/10 dropped down to 1/10. (Those with better PRs were not effected.)

So, obviously if I want some of them to come back up, I will need to remove some of the links I don’t care about or increase my main site’s PR. Either way, some fun SEO results that match what I’ve read.
